Look at Your Feet

There are too many times I’ve been desperate to walk in someone else’s shoes, and live someone else’s life.

And that keeps me from really enjoying the beautiful walk in my own shoes along the path God specifically planned for me.

Are we missing out on what’s in front of us because we’re wishing for what’s beside us?

I don’t want to send the message to God that what He has given me isn’t good enough. I never want Him to think I reject the assignment He has placed on me.

I have prayed specific prayers lately to be genuinely, supernaturally happy with the very life I live. I have it for a reason, and I’m so tired of wasting it by wanting something else.

I encourage you to really reflect on your life and why you love it.

We all have bad days and difficult areas of life, but we also all have incredibly beautiful parts of our walk that make our lives special and impactful.

Thank God for those.

Think about those.

I got some great advice recently: When anxiety strikes, look at your feet.

Pay attention to where your feet are. They aren’t in the past or the future — they are in the now. And more than that, they are your feet taking steps in your life that matters because YOU matter.

God didn’t give you her life — He gave you yours. Live it, love it, and use it for His Kingdom.

And hey. If your mind starts to go down that comparison path, take those thoughts captive and remember Who knit you together.

He’s got big plans for you, sis.
